Your cars must be not older than 25 years.

What kind of card can I trade-in or purchase?
There are 4 categories of vehicles that you can trade-in or purchase:

#1. Passenger Vehicles those for transportation not more than 10 people.

#2. Category 1 Trucks are non-passenger vehicles with a GVWR of 8,500 pounds or less which includes SUVs, trucks with a wheelbase of 115 inches or less, minivans and cargo vans with a wheelbase of 124 inches or less.

#3. Category 2 Trucks which includes a trucks with a wheelbase with more than 115 inches and vans with a wheelbase greater than 124 inches.

#4. Category 3 Trucks which includes trucks with a cargo bed of 72 inches or more in length and vans with a GVWR of 8,500 pounds or greater.

What kind of mpg can I trade-in vehicle?
Your trade-in vehicle has to have an EPA combined mpg of 18 or fewer miles per gallon, exclude for Category 3 Trucks.

Can the new vehicle be purchased have to be brand-new or can it be a newer used vehicle?
It must be brand-new. Cash for Clunkers does not apply to the obtain of used vehicles.

Can I trade in more than one vehicle to get multiple credits?
